Terms of use

These terms cover playing Discodle at discodle.com. By playing, you agree to them. They're written to be short and fair; if anything's unclear, email hello@discodle.com.

The game

Discodle is free. We put up three new puzzles every weekday. We work hard to keep it running and the puzzles right, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of mistakes, and we may change the game or stop it.

Accounts

You don't need an account to play. If you make one, you must be 13 or over and use your own email address, and you're responsible for keeping your password private. You can delete your account at any time on your account page. We may suspend or delete an account that's used to cheat, to attack or overload the site, or to harm other people.

Playing fairly

Please don't try to break or overload the site, get at puzzles before they're released, or use automated tools to play.

Our puzzles

The puzzles, clues, words, design and code are ours. You're welcome to share your results and the share text. Please don't copy the puzzles to publish them elsewhere.

Songs and artists

Each clue names songs by their titles, with the artists, only to point to the songs. Discodle isn't connected with or endorsed by any artist, songwriter or record label, and it never uses lyrics, recordings or album art.

If something goes wrong

Discodle is provided as it is. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn't allow us to limit, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Otherwise, we're not responsible for losses that weren't foreseeable, or for business losses: Discodle is for personal fun.

Your data

How we handle your data is explained on the privacy page.

Changes and the law

We may update these terms; the date below shows the latest version, and we'll say so in the game if a change matters to you. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a claim there, and if you live in the EU, you keep the protection of your own country's consumer law.
